The Cleu is a handmade symbol that we like to give to anyone with a clue, but especially in person. For one thing, it’s easy to see the clue in you when we are face-to-face. There’s something about the eyes, smile, and body language that makes this personal interaction a uniquely intimate experience every time.
For the summer solstice, we went to the Oregon coastal forest to celebrate with Cleu people from the Portland/Eugene area and beyond. It was our third annual gathering, time to renew our spirits and our connections by working and playing together to create another adventure of a lifetime. We camp out for several days to strengthen the bonds of our community, to allow plenty of face-to face interaction.
To cultivate more authenticity and intimacy in your life, take the time to go offline and just be present. As Babatunde Olatunji says, “yesterday is but a dream and tomorrow is only a vision, but today is a gift. That is why we call it the Present.”
